      No DOUBT! Keep the cash for a rainy day. Especially in this type of economy and market.

      Why is it that these ANAL ist's think that "THEY KNOW" whats best for AAPL.
      The shorts & hedges want a buyback so they can manipulate the stock.

      Screw them. Apple has a plan and it is a long term plan. That plan does not include day traders. Apple will be @ $250 in @ least 3 years just you watch. laugh ALL you want...... these are the same skeptics that said the iPod was a joke. same goes for iPhone.

      In the back of my head I knew someone was going to bring this very point up. I feel it (Malware , Virus etc..) is being TOTALLY overlooked by the open source community. GSlusher Thanks for opening this discussion. I feel a forum needs to be opened on this very serious subject. Apple was and still is BASHED for keeping their OS locked down. I feel AAPL was and is smart to play this card due to their understanding of the serious threat that hackers pose to a platform and it acceptance.

      Russia gets their iPhones via the Black Market.

      The Russians r like Putin. They want something for nothing and if they do not want to pay for it they will steal it or back stab anyone to get it. Never trust a Russian.

      When was the last time they created something worth paying for?

      Don't see many tags in the U.S. that read "Made in Russia".

      Is anyone honestly going to be swayed by this really lame marketing campaign? Seriously, this reeks of desperation from Redmond. I'm beginning to wonder if, in fact, anyone cares that Microsoft's recent major product campaigns -- perhaps with the lone exception of the XBox -- have all been major flops. Put another way, Microsoft doesn't matter anymore.

      Exhibit B: the Zune. Also in 2006 (November to be specific) Redmond launched the Zune, Microsoft's answer to the iPod. As of May 2008, the company had sold 2 million of the little guys. The company likely retains its single-digit market share in the portable digital music player sector. As MacUser's David Dahlquist put it at the time:

      Apple, in the meantime, has sold 10.6 million iPods in its latest quarter. If one does the math, that means that Apple has moved more than five times the amount of MP3 players in the last quarter than Microsoft has moved in the last year and a half. Coffee break's over, boys; time to learn how to innovate.

      Last month, Microsoft decided that it could improve on the first generation by releasing new versions of the players along with new software to go with it. The New York Times' David Pogue wrote:

      The new Zunes haven't changed at all except in color: blue, pink, red or black for the Nano-like model (4 to 16 gigs, $130 to $200 ) and black for the 120-gigabyte model ($250). But next to the sleek, shiny iPods, Zunes still look like dark, Soviet-made bricks.

      Earlier this year, the Zune Guy (he got a tattoo with the Zune logo!) went iPod, and the major American electronics retailer GameStop decided to stop selling them entirely. Among my gadget-toting friends, I've only seen one in the wild. And I've seen more iPods than I can count.

      AAPL is down 40% over the last 12 months, MSFT is down less than 20%, the DJIA is down around 30%.

      AAPL is down due in part to FALSIFIED reports from the likes of iReport a division of CNN. This kind of callous reporting is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to individuals envious of something as insanely great as AAPL and what it has created.

      Instead of inventing something new and better they stoop to the level of half baked copies, slander and unethical business practices.

      You know THE SYSTEM!!....quite frankly THE SYSTEM SUCKS AND IS TERRIBLY BROKEN. Capitalism!! you say....700B $$$ GOVERNMENT BAILOUT!!! YEAH RIGHT!!!! WHAT A CROCK!!! Just like to yellow journalists who are paid to bash AAPL.

      To say RIM offers a quality products is just kidding themselves. Can't WAIT to see this BOLD in action. What a Joke.

      And Gary Krakow's youtube video has been YANKED. It explained how pathetic the trackball is on those things. Shot after 6 months of use can't scroll left or right...just keep your heads in the sand that way you wont be able to SEE the 2nd tidal wave coming called the second coming of AAPL.

      I am SO Glad I stuck with AAPL.

      However, I am subjected to their CRAPWARE EVERY DAY because my superiors know SO MUCH MORE than I do. Just like their DUMB ASS FEARLESS MONKEY BOY LEADER!!!!

      People who BASH APPLE I say to you #$%^&% YOU you are so short sighted and close minded it makes my stomach CHURN!!

      I am a very advanced user xross multiple platforms so DO NOT come back with your canned reply that I'm some FANBOY!! I know what works and I tell you right now MSFT is in trouble.       Ballmer: iPhone has 'no chance'
      The iPhone has no hope of gaining a true foothold in the cellphone marketplace, according to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. The company head told an interviewer at the USA Today that, as with computers, future control of the mobile handset business would primarily depend on software influence rather than hardware. Apple's insistence on attaching its code to a premium device could prevent it from getting any more than a small percentage of the world's cellphone user base, Ballmer predicted.

      "Would I trade 96% of the market for 4% of the market? I want to have products that appeal to everybody," he said. "We'll get a chance to go through this [Apple versus Microsoft debate] again in phones and music players. There's no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance. It's a $500 subsidized item. They may make a lot of money. But if you actually take a look at the 1.3 billion phones that get sold, I'd prefer to have our software in 60% or 70% or 80% of them, than I would to have 2% or 3%, which is what Apple might get."

      He also suggested that Apple might be creating too narrow a focus by stressing media playback on the iPhone instead of the possibilities of a general operating system such as Windows Mobile. The heavily-rumored Zune phone was again dismissed as impossible and against the company's mobile product philosophy.

      "We wouldn't define our phone experience just by music. A phone is really a general purpose device," he summarized. "You want to make telephone calls, you want to get and receive messages, text, e-mail, whatever your preference is."

      The iPod's success in the world of strictly entertainment-oriented handhelds was downplayed. Apple "got out early" with a good mix of media player hardware and software, according to Ballmer, but there was still an opportunity for the Zune line to have its own success. Its sales campaign would be "less edgy" and appeal to more buyers, he said. The remark appeared to ignore the company's existing campaigns, which have included Adult Swim and graffiti-themed limited runs of the player.

      Microsoft currently holds a small but substantial portion of the cellphone OS business, which is currently dominated by variants on the open-source Symbian. The Zune's share has largely remained locked at roughly 9 percent of the US hard disk-based media player market since its introduction in November 2006.

      Man ALIVE! NEVER.... AND I MEAN NEVER! Did I think iPhone would reach this fever pitch... I wanted it to... and now Apple and AT&T have blown even me AWAY!

      I just ordered my White 16gig and can't wait!

      I bit the bullet and canceled with Alltel. My Moto PIECO $#^$!#$%
      was too much for me to take. I am now giving my iPod Touch to my girlfriend.

      To all naysayers of Apple... keep your heads in the sand. I like it that way. Apple DARED to THINK DIFFERENT and its paying off.

      Wait till they release the iPhone Nano! OH! You think its all rumor.... MAYBE... BUT AAPL has products in it's pipeline that only AAPL can dream up. The KIDS ARE GONNA EAT THIS STUFF UP!

      Nokia gives away phones. Their smartphone offerings are lackluster @ best. I would rather sell 100 phones and net $10k than sell 10,000 phones and net $1k. Nokia's phones are just that... phones. That N95.. BAH! its NOT a PLATFORM. It's NOT a COMPUTER. surf the web on each hand held and post your feelings.... there is NO comparison.
