Can You See Apple Under $60?
Hey, lets not forget the big boys in the hedge funds are still unloading all of their profitable stocks, and that they will reload when the turn comes and the market climbs back up. Apple has been down before witness a year ago when it dropped from $200 to $85 and bounced back up in the 190's again. You are right Zach, Apple is getting a ride south because of the market, not because it is losing market share or its innovative edge. It will return to higher levels when we get through this worst of times. Hang on for the long ride and you will be handsomely rewarded!

Reading Apple: iPhone Sales Slightly Off, MacBook OK
I'm with you all the way Andy. Our store in Grand Rapids, Michigan has been hopping every day. The teenagers can't get enough product. If they want to be part of the in crowd they must have iPods, iPhones and notebooks! Their parents are into the Macs pretty heavily as they are migrating away from the ad ware/spy ware troubles with the PC's. Saving money in the long run by buying a Mac, because they need not buy antivirus products!

      Will Apple's Q1 2009 Revenue Estimates Be a Blowout?
Extremely well done again Andy! Great analysis with reason for us long Apple to hang on for the ride back up. Those of us that work in schools know how the kids are gobbling up the new colored ipods, and how they just have to have an iphone, because all of their friends are getting one--please, please, Mom and Day, buy me one for Christmas.

Will the MacWorld Expo Apple Stock Correlation Continue?
Interesting article. Strong earning adds to the upside as well. Plus a lot of buying by the mutual funds and hedge funds at that time of year also contributes to the annual run up. Judging by the last couple of days volume and uptick it appears the big boys are starting to nibble on Apple again. My guess is that it will be running up slowly as it has in the past with a peak around the end of December or early January.

Apple's FY09 Gross Margin Expectations Are Too Low
Low balling is expected. Nothing has changed in Apple's approach to insure it beats the street, and its own predictions. I for one think they should totally skip giving forward guidance, and just do what they do best--continue to innovate, provide products we all love, and grow one of the healthiest companies on the planet.

Hedge Fund Liquidations Bear Some Blame For Market Drop
Totally agree with your thesis. Remember the close of last year? All of the big hitters were up in early January and then the sell off by the hedgies and mutual funds. The drop was enormous. As I recall Apple was over 200 and dropped to 115. After the bottoming out it gradually returned into the 190's before this most recent hit. My take is they make it on the way up, sell to make their returns look good, short to make more money, and then buy back when they get done squeezing! Apple will likely report a stellar quarter again, and is releasing new product info this coming week. They are bullish now and Apple will be up until the blowout quarter is announced. Then the usual Apple COO statement that the next quarter will not be very good, and a sell off for some quick money will happen again. Holiday sales will be strong, the quarter will come in past Apple's stated expectations and the stock will return to high times again. And the beat goes on.

Way to go on Apple. Those that followed your advice missed an opportunity to make money. But at least you are consistent--you have never called Apple right!
